Copyright & Trademark Notice
Everything we publish was built by working finance professionals and paid for by us. This notice sets out what we own, what you may do with it, and our position on AI training and scraping.

Language
This document is published in several languages for your convenience. The English version is the legally binding version. Where a translation differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
1. What we own
Capital Academy Tech Ltd. (DIFC Licence No. CL9551) or its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Capital Academy platform and everything published through it. This material is protected by copyright, trademark, database, trade secret and unfair competition laws in the UAE, the DIFC and internationally.
Protected material includes, without limitation:
- classes, curricula, learning pathways and course structure
- video lessons, including scripts, cinematography, editing and narration
- interactive books, reading materials, articles and study guides
- podcasts, audio narration and synthesised voices
- quizzes, flashcards, exercises, assessments and examination questions
- case studies, worked examples, templates, spreadsheets and downloadable resources
- the CAPA AI system: its models, prompts, workflows, knowledge base and outputs
- software, source code, databases, APIs and infrastructure
- graphics, animations, illustrations, icons, photography and brand imagery
- AI instructor avatars and their likenesses
- certification names, digital badges and certificate designs
- educational methodologies and assessment design
- the platform's design, user interface, layout and copy
- translations of any of the above, and documentation
Expert and instructor contributions are used under licence or as works made for us. Their appearance on the platform does not transfer any right to you.
2. What you may do
If you have valid access, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own personal, non-commercial education, for the duration of your access period.
Within that licence you may:
- stream and study the material through the platform
- take your own notes and write your own summaries
- download resources we have expressly made available for download, on the terms shown with them
- print a resource for your personal study
- quote a short extract in your own work with clear attribution to Capital Academy
- display a digital badge or certificate you have earned on your CV or professional profile, accurately described
This licence transfers no ownership, ends when your access ends, and may be revoked. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. What you may not do
Without our prior written permission, you must not:
- copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute our content
- record, screen-record, screenshot or otherwise capture video lessons or protected materials
- download protected videos, books or documents other than through features we provide for that purpose
- share, resell, rent, sublicense or lend content or account access
- upload our content to third-party sites, file-sharing services, messaging groups or social platforms
- publicly display or perform our material, including in a classroom or corporate training setting
- translate, adapt, remix or create derivative works from our content
- remove, obscure or alter copyright, trademark, watermark or ownership notices
- circumvent access tokens, watermarking or any other technical content-protection measures
- use our content to build a competing educational product, course or service
Our video, book and audio content is protected by technical content-protection measures, including signed media tokens and watermarking. Circumventing those measures is a material breach of the Learner Terms of Service and may also be unlawful.
4. AI training and automated collection
Capital Academy content may not be used to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark or ground any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, dataset or retrieval system. Publishing content on the open web is not permission to ingest it.
This applies to our public website and to everything behind sign-in. It applies to commercial and non-commercial models alike, and to individuals, companies and research organisations.
We also prohibit automated collection of our content (scraping, crawling, spidering, harvesting or bulk extraction by any means) except that well-behaved search-engine crawlers may index our public marketing pages for ordinary search results.
We reserve all rights in respect of text and data mining, including under any applicable reservation of rights. If you want to license our content for a legitimate purpose, including research, write to support@capitalacademy.ai. We would rather have that conversation than find our curriculum inside someone else's model.
5. Trademarks
"Capital Academy", "CAPA", our logos, certification names, slogans, badge designs and other distinctive brand elements are trademarks or proprietary marks of Capital Academy Tech Ltd. or its licensors, whether or not they are registered.
Without our prior written permission you may not use our marks:
- in a company name, trading name or domain name
- in a product, service or app name
- in advertising, sponsorship or promotional material
- in a social media account name, handle or profile image
- in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or affiliation that does not exist
- in a way likely to cause confusion with our brand
- in a modified, redrawn or recoloured form
Partner institution marks, including those of the American University in Dubai, belong to their owners and may not be used without that owner's permission. Third-party names and marks appearing on the platform belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
6. Using your credential
A certificate or digital badge you have earned is yours to display. You may show it on your CV, on professional networking sites or in your professional profile, and share its verification link.
You must describe it accurately: state the class or certification you actually completed and the year, and do not imply a degree, licence, professional membership or accreditation you do not hold. Do not alter a certificate, reproduce our certificate design for any other purpose, or use a credential you did not earn.
Misrepresenting a Capital Academy credential is a breach of the Learner Terms of Service and the Code of Conduct, and may result in revocation.
7. Organisational and classroom use
The personal licence in section 2 does not cover organisational use. Showing our content to a class, team or audience, incorporating it into internal training, or providing it to colleagues requires a team plan, an enterprise agreement or our written permission.
If you are a university, employer or training provider and want to use our material with your people, contact us. That is a normal commercial conversation and we are happy to have it.
8. Content you create
You keep the original intellectual property rights in work you create and submit through the platform: assignments, projects, discussion posts, reviews and your messages to CAPA.
By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, process, analyse and use it to operate, secure, administer, improve and deliver the platform. The full terms are in section 21 of the Learner Terms of Service.
You must not submit content you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes anyone else's copyright or trademark.
9. Reporting infringement
If you believe material available through our platform infringes your copyright or trademark, send a written notice to support@capitalacademy.ai including:
- identification of the work or mark you say is infringed
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it appears, with a URL where possible
- your name, address and contact details
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
We investigate every notice and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the material. We may pass your notice to the person who supplied the material. Knowingly submitting a false notice may expose you to liability.
9.1 Reporting infringement of our rights
If you find our content republished elsewhere, a course copied from ours, our marks misused, a forged certificate, or our material inside an AI dataset or product, please tell us at support@capitalacademy.ai. Reports from learners are often how we find out.
10. Enforcement
We take infringement seriously because our content is our business. Where we identify a breach we may suspend or terminate platform access without refund, revoke credentials obtained in connection with the breach, issue takedown notices to hosts, registrars, app stores and platforms, and pursue any legal remedy available to us.
Nothing in this notice limits any other right or remedy we have under the Learner Terms of Service, the Website Terms of Use or applicable law.
11. Contact us
For permission requests, licensing enquiries, infringement notices or any question about this notice, write to us.
